There is the opportunity to participate in shaping the university or to contribute ideas and suggestions via elected representatives.
A distinction must be made between committees in which only students are represented (the student parliament and the student representatives) and those which are represented by the entire university. (Conventions, Extended Senate and Senate)
The students vote annually and each of these bodies is responsible for different tasks.
While the student representatives are only responsible for individual courses of study, providing specialist advice and assistance in these courses, the StuPa decides, for example, on the budget, the semester ticket, the fees or the student statutes.
The Conventions and the Senate are made up of us students, the professors, the academic staff and the non-academic staff.
While the Conventions make decisions for the departments, the Senate is responsible for the entire university.
