All information about the semester ticket upgrade incl. booking page is available here:

www.nah.sh/de/fahrkarten/landesweites-semesterticket/semesterticket-upgrade/

This page is updated on an ongoing basis.

Please note these instructions:

The semester ticket upgrade can be ordered from the month of validity July 2023. It can be ordered at any time, even for a month that has already begun.
The upgrade is available as a mobile ticket in the NAH.SH app and can be completed at any time up to the 28th of the month.
When the semester ticket upgrade is ordered, a check is carried out to determine eligibility, i.e. whether the person ordering is enrolled in the current semester and has paid the semester fee. The upgrade can only be ordered once this condition has been met.
The Deutschlandticket as a semester ticket upgrade ends automatically at the end of the semester and must be ordered again for the next semester.
The semester ticket upgrade is a private contract between the student and the sales service provider DB Vertrieb. If you have any questions about the subscription, please contact DB Vertrieb GmbH | Abo-Center der Deutschen Bahn:
The subscription can be conveniently managed online at any time in the Deutsche Bahn subscription portal: www.bahn.de/aboportal.
Deutsche Bahn Subscription Center: T. 0431.88 72 96 48, e-mail: abo-sht(at)bahn.de.

Additional information on using the Handy-Ticket:

The mobile ticket is provided in the NAH.SH app for Android (from version 8.0) and iOS (from version 14.5).
It can be loaded in the NAH.SH app via the menu item "D-Ticket NAH.SH | Job | SeTi". If this entry is not visible, select the menu item "Jobticket | Semesterticket" instead.
If the Semesterticket Schleswig-Holstein was previously used as a mobile ticket, this must first be deleted from the NAH.SH app. Important: Only delete the previous ticket when it is no longer needed - the ticket can no longer be used after deletion.

If you have problems with the semester ticket, here are the instructions for solving them.

In some cases, cell phone tickets are not extended to the next semester or the next calendar month despite an active internet connection. You can solve this problem yourself by taking the following steps:

  1. Temporarily deactivate your WLAN; an active internet connection is required.
  2. Open your mobile ticket.
  3. Make a note of the 9-digit ticket number, which you will find on the third page of the cell phone ticket, at the bottom under "Ticket no."
  4. .Now remove your semester ticket from the NAH.SH app by selecting the three dots in the header of the open ticket and selecting "Remove".
  5. Close the NAH.SH app.
  6. Please open the NAH.SH app again and add your semester ticket again. To do this, use the menu item "Semesterticket" and then "Add semester ticket" - enter the ticket number you wrote down and your date of birth.
  7. You can now reactivate your WiFi connection.

Questions about the semester ticket
Why do I pay for two tickets and only get one?

There are several reasons for this:

1. the restricted access to the buildings makes it unnecessarily difficult to print out student IDs and tickets. This makes it easier to obtain the documents anyway.

2. as there are always students who do not know the catchment area for the regional ticket or who believe that the regional ticket is also valid in Hamburg, there are unnecessary fare evasion cases. By abolishing the regional ticket and only issuing the national ticket, we are protecting our students from this mistake.

3. this also ensures that any refunds are processed quickly, as in many cases not handing in the tickets made a refund difficult or even
