Elias vom Referat Sport des AStA kam zu uns ins Büro mit der Idee für einen 1. Campus Chess Cup 2026 – und zack, eine erstes Schachturnier auf dem Campus wurde geplant, hochschulintern und strukturübergreifend und campusweit -
für alle Hochschulangehörigen, sprich alle Interessierten von der EUF und von der Hochschule, aus der Studierendenschaft und der Dozierendenschaft,
ob aus der Haustechnik oder aus der Mensa,
ob aus der Bibliothek oder dem Dekanat,
ob Professor*in oder aus dem Präsidium,
ob aus dem Bereich tap oder w,
ob aus der Finanz- oder Personalabteilung,
ob Fakultät I, II, oder III oder ob Fachbereich 1, 2, 3 oder 4,
ob aus dem Senat oder dem ZIMT,
ob Nautiker*in oder Lehrer*in,
ob Abteilung I oder III,
ob Zentren oder Institute,
ob alt oder ob neu
ob Könner oder Kenner, egal – Ihr seid alle herzlich eingeladen!!
Ziel
Alle für ein Spielevent zusammen zu bekommen –
Spielspass im Vordergrund und Vernetzung aller Bereiche auf dem Campus.
FAQ
Musst Du Schach gut können?
Nein, aber ein bisschen, denn ohne Vorwissen funktioniert eine Teilnahme nur nicht –
allerdings bist Du auch herzlich willkommen vorbei zu kommen und zuzusehen und zu schnacken oder mit zu fiebern, wenn die Köpfe qualmen und die Finger fliegen und die Uhren ticken.
Soll ich was mitbringen?
Kuchen! Wir vom AStA stellen den Kaffee und Tee und Limo/ Wasser auf Spendenbasis.
Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Ihr dabei seid – einfache Voranmeldung über unserer Homepage Schachturnier - AStA Uni Flensburg -
damit wir wissen, mit wie vielen Menschen wir rechnen dürfen und wie viele Bretter wir brauchen 😊

That's how quickly things can happen
Elias from the AStA Sports Department came to our office with the idea for the 1st Campus Chess Cup 2026—and just like that, the first chess tournament on campus was planned, involving the entire university, all departments, and the whole campus—
for all members of the university community, i.e. anyone interested from the EUF, and the university of Applied Sciences,
the student body and the teaching staff,
whether from building services or the canteen,
whether from the library or the Dean's Office,
whether a professor or from the Executive Board,
whether from the tap or w departments,
whether from the finance or HR departments,
whether from Faculty I, II or III or from Department 1, 2, 3 or 4,
whether from the Senate or ZIMT,
whether a nautical officer or a teacher,
whether from Department I or III,
whether from centres or institutes,
whether old or new,
whether experts or novices – it doesn't matter – you are all warmly invited!!
Goal
To bring everyone together for a games event –
with the focus on having fun and networking across all areas of the campus.
FAQ
Do you need to be good at chess?
Not necessarily good, but you won't be able to take part without any prior knowledge –
however, you're also very welcome to drop by and watch, have a chat, or get caught up in the excitement as minds race, fingers fly and the clocks tick.
Should I bring anything?
Cake, if you like!
We at the AStA will provide coffee, tea and soft drinks/water on a donation basis.
